  My Grandma passed away

  good day all:.

  while at work a couple days ago, i got a call that my grandma passed away.

  she would've been 86 next week, but she still lived her life...so i'm getting emails ect from my home congregation from folks just checking up on me.

  So sorry about your loss..my grandmother passed last month as well. She would have been 89 this month. She was a JW for over 60 years and a "pioneer" for just about that long. I loved her dearly and miss her every day. Although she was one of the most faithful JWs I've ever come across, she never judged me or anyone else around her. I let her know my views, I knew hers, but we both still loved each other regardless. I wish that every JW and ex JW could have the relationship we had....there wouldn't be so much heartache.

  Friend gets "scriptural divorce" over wifes transgressions before they got married...

  so i have a friend in a congregation in new jersey who recently called me to tell me that he got a divorce.

  nothing surprising there at first but it is the fact of when it happened.

  his wife began pioneering april 1, and after about three weeks she came to him and told him that about 4 years she had engaged in loose conduct (fondling the penis and the guy kissing her breasts) during a time that she was inactive.

  Why does god kill children?

  i was thinking about all the accounts in the bible that indicate god kills children as a punishment or teaching experience.

  1. kills all of egypts firstborn sons, who were innocent kids who did nothing to him or his people, who had no control over the decisions pharoah made.

  how many times have you read that account or thought about it without realizing the devastating pain dealt to all those parents, and remembered those were innocent kids?.

  Kind of goes against the "God is love" BS we were taught, huh? I always had a problem with this issue. Some of the people in the Bible had it coming, but children???

  Depression & natural ways to deal with it

  i was on prozac for about 10 years, and finally went off all meds about 18 months ago.

  the prozac was causing me to have manic episodes, so they added a bipolar medicine as well as a sleep aid, and the bipolar medicine made me dizzy & nauseaus.

  so now i work really hard at exercising regularly, i take a lot of natural supplements including natural lithium & megadoses of omega upon advice of a homeopathic doctor.

  I have the same problem...Prozac no longer worked for me. It's alright to search for natural remedies, and what you're doing will certianly help, However, I have found that I really need to take meds for the chemical imbalance. For me, exercise, proper diet, and good habits just weren't enough. But I am sure that some people would be okay. Everyone is different, so you might want to get a second opinion or try something else. My meds were switched to something that suits me much better.

  Pets are false gods

  i"m listening to the 2013 dc green bay saturday talk on false gods.. the speaker says no one would knowingly worship false deities.

  but could we inadvertantly give jehovah less than exclusive devotion he deserves.. he said:you have not allowed this deception power of sin to sensual desires, material comforts, pets, technology, entertainment or food to become objects of devotion to you.. anything that interferes with our spiriutal routine has the power of eroding or weaking our relationship with jehovah.. .

  my dogs can erode my relationship with jehovah.

  My Grammy passed away this morning...

  peacefully after a short bout with leukemia.

  she was 88 years old and the foundation of my life.

  she will be sadly missed by me and everyone whose lives she has touched.. .

  JW's have never come to my door...

  i have been living at my present location for almost 6 years and there has never been one visit ever.

  of course, i am not home all the time, but you would think there would have been at least one.

  i don't live in a gated community either so access is not a problem.

  I have been living at my present location for almost 6 years and there has never been ONE visit ever. Of course, I am not home all the time, but you would think there would have been at least one. I don't live in a gated community either so access is not a problem. I have never been registered as a JW (left when I was 18 unbaptised) and I moved out of the area for several years overseas.

  Any thoughts on it? Just curious how the divvy up the territory.
